INSTRUCTIONS:
1st Step
Start by greasing a baking dish and preheating the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
2nd Step
Brown the minced Italian sausage (or ground beef) over medium heat in a large skillet. Add the onion and garlic and cook for an additional 2 to 3 minutes, until the onion is translucent.
3rd Step
Pour the tomato sauce into the bowl and season with the dried basil, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Stir thoroughly to incorporate, enabling the flavors to combine. Remove the mixture from heat after approximately 5 minutes of simmering.
4th Step
As a bottom crust, unroll the crescent roll dough and flatten it into the bottom of the prepared baking dish. If necessary, flatten the dough creases together to seal them.
5th Step
Evenly distribute the meat and sauce mixture over the crescent roll crust. Shred mozzarella cheese and sprinkle it on top of the meat mixture.
6th Step
