until now that I have my grandmothers recipe thats written on a recipe card from her old recipe box! Adding an extra yoke makes an even more rich and creamy filling! It is the BEST!! I Know you will get a bit nervous about spillover after pouring all of the filling into the crust as it came to the very brim, but nothing will spill over if you follow my instructions above this section 🙂 it is the most beautiful pie!!
My hubby couldn’t believe that I could make something so good! I don’t know if I should be flattered or offended LOL I choose to be flattered because he didnt even like custard pie before he tasted this one! now he asks me to make it every time baking season starts!
This pie brought back memories of my childhood! I like to post recipes that are easy, so I cheated and used a refrigerated pie crust, feel free to use your favorite pie crust recipe! I will be adding one to the blog soon , in a separate post so stay tuned for that one!
always cover the pie edges with foil just in case. Also, make sure your pie is cool before placing in fridge.
