Crush the chocolate cookies into tiny crumbs, either in a food processor or by putting them in a sealed plastic bag and rolling them with a rolling pin.
2nd Step
Mix the melted butter and cookie crumbs together in a bowl until the crumbs are equally covered with butter. Form the crust by pressing the cookie dough down firmly into a 9×9-inch (or similarly sized) square baking dish. Put it in the fridge to chill while you work on the next step.
3rd Step
Whip the heavy cream in a bowl until it forms firm peaks. The dessert will end up light and fluffy thanks to this.
4th Step
Softened cream cheese is beaten to a silky consistency in still another mixing dish. Beat in the powdered sugar and vanilla extract gradually until the ingredients are well incorporated and the frosting has a silky texture.
5th Step
Once the chocolate chips have cooled, stir them into the cream cheese mixture using a spatula. To lighten the mixture, gently fold in a third of the whipped cream. Then, fold the remaining whipped cream into the chocolate mixture very gently until no streaks of white remain and the filling is light and airy.
6th Step
Remove the crust-filled baking dish from the fridge. Spread the chocolate cream cheese mixture evenly over the crust. Refrigerate the dessert for at least two to three hours, or until it has reached the desired firmness, covered in plastic wrap or aluminum foil.
7th Step
For a more refined presentation, sprinkle some chocolate shavings or grated chocolate on top of each dish of Chocolate Delight before serving. Serve this delicious dessert to your eager visitors by cutting it into squares, or enjoy it all by yourself.
