PREPARATION:
Step 1
Set the oven’s temperature to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or gently oil it while it’s heating up to avoid sticking.
Step 2
Slice the cabbage horizontally into thick “steaks” that are approximately an inch thick. To keep the cabbage steaks together, make sure the center is unbroken.
Step 3
Set the sliced cabbage on the baking sheet that has been prepared. Olive oil should be gently drizzled over each steak while you do this. Add salt, freshly ground black pepper, and any other spices of your choosing, such as paprika, dried thyme, or garlic powder. If you like cheese, a small sprinkle of grated Parmesan cheese can enhance the taste.
Step 4
Place the baking sheet in the hot oven, and bake it there for 25 to 30 minutes. To ensure consistent cooking, keep an eye on them and turn the steaks halfway during the baking period. The outside should be somewhat browned and crispy while the interior should remain delicate.
