Step By Step Instructions To Make Seafood Stuffed Bell Peppers
Step 1
Using 2 tablespoons of butter, saute the diced celery, onion, red bell pepper, and garlic for about 6 minutes, or until the vegetables are tender.
Step 2
Once the cream cheese has melted, remove it from the heat and stir it in.
Step 3
Mix the sauteed vegetable mixture with the rice, stuffing mix, imitation crab, shrimp, Old Bay, dill, and parsley in a medium bowl. Gently mix.
Step 4
As soon as the stuffing cubes start to soften, add the chicken broth. Stir well to combine. Adding broth one tablespoon at a time will help soften your mixture if it is still hard and dry.
Step 5
Place about 3/4 cup of stuffing in each half of the bell pepper, mounding it on top and pressing it in gently.
Step 6
Bake the peppers for 20-25 minutes in a 375-F oven or until they are heated through and fork-tender. Sprinkle each pepper with 1/2 teaspoon of butter.
