It will be very important to note if the  buds  are still present. With a knife, you will remove the leaves and not touch the buds at all. They are called  apical  , since they will allow the seedling to grow in height. Therefore, not touching these elements is very important for the growth of the lemon cutting.

Still using a knife, it will be essential to engrave the bark at the top transversely. Water drops should never “touch” the gems just mentioned. Regarding the base, however, the cut should not be oblique, but horizontal. Here too, it will be appropriate to lightly incise the bark by removing the green part.

At this point, you will take a small pot and fill it with  fairly moist soil  . The cutting will be inserted halfway into the soil. It didn’t stop there. In fact, you will need  to protect the seedling with a plastic bag  . It will be placed on top of the vase, so that the moisture remains inside. Sunlight, however, must reach the seedling, without the rays hitting it directly.

The lemon cutting will have roots in as little as 30 days  . Additionally, after a while, the  buds  and  leaves  will also come out. This means that everything is going well. All you have to do is remove the protective bag and let the seedling grow as best as possible, sheltered from the wind and direct exposure to the sun.
