- 1st Step – Prepare the oven: Start by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large baking sheet with parchment paper or aluminum foil for easy cleanup.
- 2nd Step – Assemble the quesadillas: Lay out the flour tortillas on the prepared baking sheet. Sprinkle a generous amount of shredded cheese evenly over half of each tortilla. Add a layer of cooked protein on top of the cheese, followed by any optional toppings of your choice.
- 3rd Step – Fold and press: Fold the tortillas in half to cover the cheese and fillings, creating half-moon shapes. Press down gently to seal the edges.
- 4th Step – Bake the quesadillas: Transfer the baking sheet to the preheated oven and bake the quesadillas for 10-12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tortillas are golden brown and crispy.
- 5th Step – Flip and continue baking (optional): If desired, halfway through the baking time, carefully flip the quesadillas using a spatula to ensure even browning on both sides. Return the baking sheet to the oven and continue baking until the quesadillas are fully cooked and crispy.
- 6th Step – Serve and enjoy: Once the quesadillas are done baking, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool slightly on the baking sheet. Use a sharp knife or pizza cutter to slice the quesadillas into wedges or squares. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauces or toppings.
