Add 1/4 tablespoon of baking soda to a spray bottle of water and shake until dissolved. Spray the baking soda and water solution on the moldy sofa area, then use a scrub brush to remove the mold on the surface. Next, wipe with a clean cloth dipped in water to remove dirt and baking soda. Finally, adding a few drops of essential oil will help the chair have a pleasant scent. This will kill any remaining mold and help prevent it from returning.
To remove old black mold, mix two parts baking soda with one part white vinegar and one part water. Stir the mixture until it becomes a thick mixture. Spread your mixture evenly over the surface and let it dry. Scrub away mold and black stains, then wipe clean with water.
