First, sift the cornstarch into a pan and add the sieved orange juice to remove all the pulp. Stir well until the cornstarch is completely dissolved.
Then add the sugar and mix again to combine all the ingredients. Then place the pan over low heat and stir constantly to prevent sticking or lumps.
Then cook for about 25 minutes, or until the mixture thickens and reaches a firm consistency. Lightly moisten a glass bowl with water and pour the mixture into it. Smooth the surface with a spatula to ensure an even layer.
Finally, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and press the wrap directly onto the surface of the mixture to prevent a skin from forming. Refrigerate for 24 hours.
To finish, remove the dessert from the bowl and cut it into pieces of the desired size. Spread each piece with shredded coconut and serve.
When these came out of the oven, my hubby couldn’t help but eat 6 all own his own!
