Instructions:
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
Place potato slices in a greased baking dish. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with salt, black pepper, and 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika.
Bake for 20 minutes until potatoes begin to soften.
Meanwhile, in a skillet over medium heat, sauté onions and ground beef with salt, black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon sweet paprika, and oregano until browned.
Add peeled tomatoes and simmer for 10 minutes.
Pour beef mixture over precooked potatoes. If using, sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top.
Bake for an additional 15 to 20 minutes until cheese is puffed and golden.
Serve warm from the oven.
