• 1 can.Of (8 oz) crescent roll dough.
• 1/2 Cup.Of (1 stick) unsalted butter.
• 1 Cup.Of granulated sugar.
• 1 Tsp.Of ground cinnamon.
• 1/2 Cup.Of lemon-lime soda (such as Sprite or 7-Up).
• Vanilla ice cream (optional, for serving).
DIRECTIONS:
1. Preheat the Oven: Start by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish and set it aside.
2. Prepare the Apples: Cut each peeled and cored apple into 8 equal slices. You should have a total of 16 apple slices.
3. Wrap the Apples: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into 8 triangles. Place one apple slice on the wide end of each triangle and roll it up, tucking in the sides to enclose the apple. Arrange the wrapped apples in the prepared baking dish.
4. Make the Sauce: In a small saucepan, melt the butter over low heat. Stir in the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon, allowing the mixture to simmer for a minute or two until the sugar is dissolved and the sauce thickens slightly.
