PREPARATION METHOD:
1st Step
Prepare a baking dish that is 9 inches by 13 inches and gently oil it. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit (190 degrees Celsius).
2nd Step
Cook the ground beef in a large pan over medium heat until it has a browned appearance. After adding the chopped onion and garlic, continue to sauté for an additional two to three minutes, or until the onion reaches a translucent state.
3rd Step
After removing any extra grease from the pan, continue by adding the taco seasoning, chopped tomatoes with green chilies, and refried beans. After giving the mixture a good stir to integrate all of the components, bring it to a simmer and let it cook for five minutes to let the flavors to mingle.
4th Step
Put a layer of three tortillas in the bottom of the baking dish that has been buttered. Make sure to slightly overlap each tortilla so that the whole area is covered.
