Chicken Francese Recipe
Ingredients:
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
1 cup all-purpose flour (for dredging)
2 large eggs
2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
1/4 cup olive oil (for frying)
1/4 cup unsalted butter
1 cup dry white wine (e.g., Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay)
1/2 cup chicken broth
Juice of 1 large lemon (or more, to taste)
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Lemon slices, for garnish
Instructions:
Prepare the Chicken:
If the chicken breasts are thick, cut them in half horizontally to create thinner cutlets. You can also pound them to an even thickness for quicker and more even cooking.
Season the chicken cutlets with salt and pepper on both sides.
